The first 2 games of Tottenham Hotspurs Premiership campaign has left us fans in somewhat of a nightmare dream world – floating un-gloriously on the puddle of the league floor … staring up at Everton and Sunderland sitting in the clouds, leading the League at the 1st furlong.

The mood is a sombre one umongst the Blue & White and the football fancast forum is again alive with offerings of changes that need to be made and heads that need to roll! Its true that Spurs have had unbelievably poor luck in defence losing no less than King, Dawson, Kaboul, Bale, Lee and Assou Ekotto as well as Lennon from midfield and once we start to see some of these players return to the fold – there should be a dramatic improvement but it has not made the defeats and subsequent jeers any easier to take.

With players such as Lennon and King out for what seems like it could be months, the emphesis now really has to come from Martin Jol to lift spirits in the dressing room. Its a little early for panic to set in but you only have to chat to West Ham fans to hear a horror story of how a good team can slip early on and leave it till the last day to recover!

Martin Jol needs to stand firm in the dressing room – it is time to see what he is made of and what he can do lift the spirits of the players. In my opinion Routledge, Boetang and Taarabt need to play much more of a role if we are going to overcome these problems.

In your opinion what is the answer?

If you were to fill Martin Jols shoes right now …. What would you say to the players in the dressing room ahead of Saturdays crucial Derby County game?

Who would you bring into the fold and who would you leave out? Who should play upfront??

Let us know your opinions! Good Luck on Saturday boys – lets get off the bottom of this league!!!!

COYS!!!!!!!!!!!
