Do you as a Southampton fan feel cheated after tonights’s events?

Earlier this month all of us Southampton
fans were told that there would be no need to sell our better players during
this January transfer window. Up until today nobody had left. There was not
much rumours in the press and it looked like the Saints board was finally
giving us fans the truth.

This is why sitting here at twenty to eight
I am distraught. I feel used and gutted. I pay my good money to go and support
Saints and many of you do as well. We have been betrayed. Rasiak and Skacel
have left on loan deals with a view to a permanent move. Surely if the board/
management team can see them surplus to requirements we should of got money for
them now rather than later. I’d imagine they will both leave in the summer. I
do not understand it. Both of these players had been getting games recently. It
doesn’t add up to me. We are told that the deals are good financially for us.
It is a shame. Everything seems to be about the money. Where has all the money
gone for other big money transfers such as the money from Bale, Jones and
Walcott? I feel cheated by the club at the moment; does anybody else feel the
same?

 I am
sweating now on the fact Jhon Viafara is next. He has been left out of recent
games because of an “illness” so he is clearly going to be gone by the end of
the night. I would not be surprised now if the board decide to just Dodd and
Gorman carry on in their roles until the end of the season. Letting these
players go shows how much of an aim they have for our great club. They appear
to be happy with us in mid table, close to the relegation zone. We are in no
means comfortable in this league and with three good players going we may find
ourselves pulled into a dog fight.

I just want the board to tell us how it is.
It hurts to see good players going elsewhere, Rudi has gone to Hertha Berlin
who are bigger than us and then Rasiak now finds himself at a Premier League
side (Bolton). I think it is crazy that these two teams would want those two
when we can let them go? Surely we do not rate them very highly just to see
them leave on loan, with little money coming our way for the deals.

Another real kick in the face for me is; if
we were going to let these more valuable players go, then why didn’t we do it a
couple of weeks ago? Then we could have lined up suitable replacements to keep
the season alive. Instead we are left with a few hours to look for
replacements. There will be no new signings. So yet again Hoo’s and Crouch came
out and said we are ok money wise and no players would leave. This doesn’t appear
to add up to me. If we were struggling then we would have sold and got a few
million surely? But if we had money and we were not in dire straits then we
could have signed replacements?

Let me know please how you feel as a
Southampton fan after this evening’s events.
