The type of news to make all Arsenal fans smile
Football FanCast columnist Jude Henson is delighted to hear of Flamini's
struggle in Milan.
It is not
often I spray coffee over my computer monitor, but today was the exception. It
was reading about Mathieu Flamini bemoaning his short spell at AC Milan and the
lack of minutes he is getting on the pitch. I couldn't resist having a little
chuckle to myself as I proceeded to wipe down my screen; as yet another former
player succumbs to the struggles, when they leave N5.
Having been
dropped from the starting line-up in the last four games, last season's general
has suddenly woken up to some harsh realities.
"Yes, I had hoped for more
minutes," Flamini admitted.
"However, there is a coach who makes
his choices and we must accept them.
"The important thing is the victory, the three points and the continuity
of our positive results."

I often
wonder as to when these Arsenal players will wake-up to the fact that the grass
is never greener. Flamini only had to look at his fellow countrymen Petit,
Viera and of course Thierry to see the pitfalls of leaving the club and if I'm
honest then I am delighted. His departure, solely for monetary reasons, did
little but leave a sour taste in my mouth and I hope he rots in the reserves in
Milan for some time.
