Everton's Danish defender Lars Jacobsen has admitted that he may decide to leave the club next summer if he is unable to secure first-team action.

The 29-year-old full-back has yet to feature for the Toffees, having seen the first few months of his time at Goodison Park ruined by injury problems.

However, he has been an unused substitute several times since regaining full fitness just over a month ago.

He told a Danish TV station:"I want to play for a club where I get to play regularly and if that wont happen here, then it will have to be somewhere else.

"That doesn't mean that I want to leave. I am going to give my best, but we will have to see what happens.

"It's been seven games now that I haven't played (after being named as a substitute), but I accept that we have a good team.

"I will take things easy until the summer and what happens then will happen. But then I need to start playing games."
