Third LMA award for Everton boss
Everton boss David Moyes has been named as the League Managers' Association manager of the year for the third time.
The 46-year-old Scot was handed the accolade after guiding the Toffees to a fifth-placed finish in the Premier League and also the FA Cup Final this season.
Moyes previously won the award in 2003 and 2005.
"Since joining Everton, David has not only transformed the club's fortunes, he has also created a huge fan base, including many of his fellow managers," said LMA chairman Howard Wilkinson.
"With only modest financial backing he has shown what can be achieved through discipline, dedication and an innate ability to get the best out of every player."
Meanwhile, Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson won a special merit award for his successes in the Premier League and Carling Cup this season.
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy took the Championship award, Darren Ferguson was honoured in League One and Brentford's Andy Scott was named as the League Two manager of the year.
