Burnley seal Fletcher coup
Burnley boss Owen Coyle has strengthened his strikeforce by snapping up Hibernian's Steven Fletcher for a club record £3million transfer fee.
The 22-year-old Scotland international has agreed a four-year deal at Turf Moor after scoring 51 goals in 189 appearances for the SPL side.
Fletcher has represented his country on four occasions, the last being the Euro 2008 qualifying victory against Iceland in April.
He came through the youth team ranks at Easter Road before making his first-team debut as a substitute in the 3-0 victory against Kilmarnock in April 2004.
Last season he scored 11 goals for Hibs and was linked with several clubs, including Celtic, who had a big-money offer for his services rejected in January.
The Clarets' previous transfer record was set last summer, when Martin Paterson and Chris Eagles both joined the club in deals worth around £1.5million.
Fletcher is Coyle's second summer signing following the arrival of Tyrone Mears from Derby County.
