Jacobsen to decide on future

Everton defender Lars Jacobsen is close to making a decision over his future amid interest from Blackburn Rovers.

Jacobsen, 29, joined the Toffees last season from German football but made only a handful of appearances after struggling with injury.

Blackburn are believed to be keen on signing the Denmark international and Jacobsen's agent, Karsten Aabriknk, claims his client is close to making a decision on his future.

"I have no comment on concrete club names, but it is correct that Lars is really close to a decision on his future," he said.

Jacobsen did not make his debut for the Toffees until March after suffering a serious shoulder injury on the eve of his first season in the Premier League.

However, he finished the season in the first-team picture and was a second-half substitute in the FA Cup Final.
