Portsmouth are being linked with Aruna Dindane and his Ivory Coast team-mate Steve Gohouri.

Striker Dindane has been on boss Paul Hart's wanted list for several weeks and is expected to complete a permanent move from Lens before the transfer window closes next week.

The 28-year-old has already passed a medical and is expected to pen a three-year deal with struggling Pompey.

Meanwhile, defender Gohouri has been handed a Fratton Park trial by Hart.

The 28-year-old spent the last two seasons at Borussia Monchengladbach but is a free agent after leaving the Bundesliga outfit at the end of last season.

Hart could also snap up Algerian Hadj Issa as he attempts to bolster a wafer-thin squad that has struggled so far this term.
