David Moyes expects duo to shine

Everton manager David Moyes is confident that new signings Johnny Heitinga and Diniyar Bilyaletdinov will prove to be quality recruits for the Toffees.

Dutch defender Heitinga has joined from Atletico Madrid for £6.2million, while Russia winger Bilyaletdinov cost £10million from Lokomotiv Moscow.

Moyes said:"I am very satisfied with these two players, they are both internationals but they are both young enough to improve.

"They both have experience, but not experience in the Premier League. But they will settle quickly.

"Johnny can play full-back, centre-half and in midfield, while Billy can also play in several positions. We still do not have that big a squad, so we need the adaptability they have.

"They are good additions, they will fit in and find this a good place to be. We are excited to have them.

"The new faces have lifted the players, they can see that we have more competition for places and there will also be several injured players returning soon who have been out for a while."
