Stoke City striker Ricardo Fuller is back in contention for this weekend's trip to Everton after shaking off a groin injury.

The 29-year-old has not featured since the 4-3 Carling Cup victory at home to Blackpool, but has come through training unscathed this week.

Boss Tony Pulis told The Sentinel:"Ric has given it a bit of a blast out on the training field and there doesn't seem to have been any reaction.

"That's good news and we'll obviously give him as long as possible to prove his fitness if we think he's in with a shout for Everton.

"Ric is usually missing through suspension, so I suppose it makes a change to be sweating over his fitness this time.

"He's usually a pretty quick healer because he's such a strong athlete, so there is certainly hope he can make it.

"No-one needs me to tell them what he brings to the table for us, so it's always a big decision where Ric is concerned."
