Fulham's Wales international midfielder Simon Davies is hopeful of being back in action with the Cottagers in the near future.

The 29-year-old has yet to start a Premier League for Roy Hodgson's side this season, having been troubled by a foot injury for much of the campaign to date.

He told the club's official website:"I hope I'll be able to start running over the weekend and crack on with training next week.

"If all goes to plan I should be back and available by the end of the month.

"I hope I'll only miss two or three games at the most. It's been frustrating, but it's just one of those things."

Davies moved to Craven Cottage from Everton in January 2007 and is one short of the 100-appearance mark for his current employers.
