Spurs HomeThe Tottenham Hotspur 2009/10 Home Shirt is the most recent version of the classic white football shirt. The first Tottenham kit was navy blue shirt and shorts, but at the end of the 19th century the club switched to the white shirts and blue shorts and became known as the Lilywhites. The colour choice is understood to be in homage to the football achievements at the time by Preston North End. ’ latin motto is ‘Audere est Facere’, which translates as ‘To Dare Is To Do’. The current sponsor Mansion.com Casino and Poker features a red badge, which is slightly controversial as the last red logo that Tottenham had on their football shirt led to an outcry from their fans as red is the colour of North London rivals Arsenal.
