Tottenham Hostpur 2009/10 Home Football Shirt
The 2009/10 Tottenham Hotspur Home Shirt sponsored by Puma is worn in the Premier League, and FA and Carling Cups by Ledley King, Robbie Keane and Aaron Lennon. The shirt is also sponsored by Mansion.com and is the latest white Tottenham shirt that has been worn by Spurs legends Glenn Hoddle, Ossie Ardiles and Ricky Villa amongst others.
The Tottenham Hotspur 2009/10 Home Shirt is the most recent version of the classic white football shirt. The first Tottenham kit was navy blue shirt and shorts, but at the end of the 19th century the club switched to the white shirts and blue shorts and became known as the Lilywhites. The colour choice is understood to be in homage to the football achievements at the time by Preston North End. Spurs’ latin motto is ‘Audere est Facere’, which translates as ‘To Dare Is To Do’. The current sponsor Mansion.com Casino and Poker features a red badge, which is slightly controversial as the last red logo that Tottenham had on their football shirt led to an outcry from their fans as red is the colour of North London rivals Arsenal.

The Tottenham Hotspur 1982 FA Cup Final Shirt remembers Spurs’ successful cup run of that year, capped off when Glenn Hoddle slotted home a penalty in the replay of the cup final. That was the second year in succession that Tottenham lifted the famous FA Cup, as in the previous year captain Hoddle lifted the trophy at Wembley after a 3-2 replay win over Manchester City, with goals from Ricky Villa and Garth Crookes. Both of those shirts featured a cockerel, as it does today, although the Spurs badge was rebranded in 2006 to modernise the club’s image. The White Hart Lane club football shirts now feature a leaner cockerel and classic football above the club’s name.
