Wolves boss Mick McCarthy believes Ronald Zubar has finally adapted to life in England after producing a fine display in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Everton.

The 24-year-old right-back, who was making his first Premier League appearance of the campaign following his summer switch from Marseille, was solid and reliable throughout at Goodison Park.

A delighted McCarthy said:"Ronald was excellent and played very well. He played loads of games at right-back for Marseille.

"He was disappointed by their goal because he got done down the side of him, but I thought he had a really good debut and now looks like someone who can play in the Premier League.

"When he came here, he looked way off, but now he's got his wife and baby over here, he's settled in a house and he's training really well.

"That bodes well for me because he was a really big signing."

Zubar made 82 appearances for Marseille in his three seasons with the club after starring for Caen earlier in his career.
