Tottenham's hopes of securing a January deal for Sulley Muntari have been dashed, after the Ghanaian claimed he wishes to remain at the San Siro.

The Inter winger has been heavily linked with a move to White Hart Lane, after a rather public falling out with Jose Mourinho and the player's agent hinted a fortnight ago that a deal with Tottenham could be resurrected, should Redknapp wish to retain his interest that he had shown in the summer to be reunited with his former Pompey midfielder.

However Muntari has revealed that he has no intention of leaving Serie A for the Premier League just yet, as he believes there is unfinished business at Inter and he wants to prove himself once again to the Nerazzurri population.

Muntari said: "I've never thought about leaving Inter next year and I intend to stay here because we can keep winning.

"I want keep working in peace. My objective is to win back the trust of the Nerazzurri population as soon as possible." (Sun)
