Woodgate’s problem is peoples’ perception of him. You say he hasn’t played regularly for Spurs – wrong. He played 34 league games for us last season. But hearing that he doesn’t train regularly either is a concern. I would definately bring one of them to world cup – likely Woody. But as a back up behind the likes of Terry and Ferdinand. You need someone to come in and step up in case of injuries and suspensions. Dawson – no way – too far down pecking order – not playing in big matches.

King’s knees couldn’t handle tournament football. If Woody can stay fit he should make the squad along with Jagielka.

Good shout and i would add Dawson to that dilemma.He is in my opinion just has good if not better than both Lescott and Upson and until is injury last year was playing great.
