Though Robbie Keane’s sporting career boasts the wildly yawing trajectory of the type usually associated with the bullet that killed Kennedy, his domestic life assumes a more placid tone, last year marriage to Claudine Palmer coming at the end of a six year courtship for the couple.

Such solid relationships don’t come easy and it wouldn’t surprise us if the foundations were partially built on the long

held belief that interest outside of each other and time alone are crucial in maintaining a healthy relationship.  For her that may have meant spending time with friends and perhaps enrolling to a couple of evening courses at the local college; for him it meant that strange six months he spent hanging around the Liverpool substitute bench.

To the day of the wedding itself and undoubtedly one befitting of the occasion: the couple driven to the ceremony- taking place in Keane’s native city of Dublin- in a Phantom Rolls Royce.

According to the famed car manufacturer’s official website- whom one feels inclined to trust in such matters- the phantom model is “a truly modern interpretation of a Rolls Royce.”  Probably for the best given the earlier Keane/Kennedy comparisons– a darkened car with a name like ‘phantom’ being spotted in or around Dallas in 1963 would almost certainly be used by some as further proof of C.I.A involvement.
