Hull City midfielder Seyi Olofinjana is set for a short spell on the sidelines due to a hamstring injury sustained while on international duty.

The 29-year-old former Stoke City and Wolves star was injured during Nigeria's 3-2 victory over Kenya last weekend and is likely to miss the Tigers' clash with West Ham United as a result.

City boss Phil Brown told the club's official website:"Seyi has tweaked his hamstring.

"I've spoken to him this morning (Friday) and it looks like he is not going to make it for Saturday. With that in mind, we'll see how he is with regard to Wednesday against Everton.

"As far as we are concerned it could be a week to ten days or it could be longer. Whatever, a scan has revealed that he has tweaked a hamstring."

Olofinjana joined Hull in August from Stoke and has since scored once in ten appearances, with his only goal coming against his former club at the KC Stadium.
