Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has pulled out of the Ivory Coast squad for Saturday's World Cup qualifier against Guinea.

Drogba will not play in the weekend game which is a dead-rubber for the already qualified Elephants after picking up a chest injury during Sunday's 1-0 victory over Manchester United.

The striker was caught in the chest by a high foot from United defender Jonny Evans at Stamford Bridge.

However, Drogba could return for next week's international friendly against Germany in Gelsenkirchen.

Speaking after Sunday's victory over United, Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti revealed his 12-goal leading scorer was set for a short spell on the sidelines.

"Drogba has a problem because he's struggling to move, but I hope he'll be better in the next few days," explained the Italian.
