Aston Villa defender Carlos Cuellar believes he is playing some of the best football of his career this season.
The 28-year-old Spaniard played a key part in Villa's 1-1 draw with Tottenham on Saturday evening, clearing one Michael Dawson effort off the line as Martin O'Neill's side hung on for a point in a second half dominated by the visitors.
The former Rangers player said:"We are playing very well and the confidence is high.
"I am really happy with the last year because before I was injured too much. This year I am feeling strong and better than the last year and I am playing better. The team is stronger and everyone is happy.
"Both teams (Villa and Spurs) will fight to get into the top four. I think it was a good point for us all.
"It was very difficult for us because Spurs were having too many chances after the break.
"The second half was very difficult for us because we were defending so much. All our team worked very hard to not concede.
"We prepared specially because they came with high motivation and confidence and we knew we were going to have a hard game."
