Spurs star reveals injury setback

Sébastien Bassong added to Tottenham’s injury woes, after a pulling a hamstring in the North London derby.

Tottenham have suffered a series of injuries in defence this season and Bassong joins the likes of Woodgate, Dawson and King, who have all spent time on the sidelines at some point this campaign.

Bassong last night confirmed the extent of the injury and doesn’t expect to return to first team action for at least four weeks at the very earliest:

Bassong added: “It’s not good news. It’s a hamstring. I’ll be out maybe four or five weeks. It just feels like my muscle is gone.

“It was really not a good day for me or the club or the fans. It was the worst day of the season.” (Mirror)
