Manchester City defender Kolo Toure is aware that there needs to be a marked improvement in the team's displays if Mark Hughes' side are to challenge for a top-four place this season.

City remain in contention for a Champions League spot despite drawing their last four league matches, including Sunday's stalemate at Birmingham City.

Former Arsenal star Toure told City's official website:"We need to impose ourselves as we have some gifted players in this dressing room.

"We can enjoy our football by passing it and controlling games. That's what we need to achieve now. The team needs time but as time goes by we need to improve.

"City is not the team it was before, a lot of things have changed and our mentality has to change as well.

"We can't be happy with a draw or drawing four games in a row. Chelsea, Arsenal or Liverpool would never be happy with that, which is why they have been at the top, so neither can we."

When will people realise that Man City are just not that good. Their squad is massively over-rated and over-priced. They will finish no higher than 5th.
