Fergie’s dilemma? United’s Academy’s unsung heroes & Corry Evans a star in the making – Best of MUFC

It has been a week of highs for United following the disappointment of Saturday’s loss at home to Villa with a win over Wolves and one of the club’s favourite son’s being honoured by the sporting world but again injury reared its ugly head leading to United being linked with yet more players, more specifically defenders. So join me as we look back at the happenings at Old Trafford in the past week:

Following the previous night’s events, the week started with a salute to Ryan Giggs the reigning BBC Sports Personality of the Year – Fitting Reward For An Old Trafford Great

Man United’s defence was the flavour of the week as we were treated to a look at Palermo’s Simon Kjaer a potential transfer target for United – What is all the fuss about Simon Kjaer…this object of PL affections?

And Serb Uros Crosic who is being touted as potentially better than Nemanja Vidic – Who is this Uros Cosic…the reported object of Sir Alex’s affections?

With Brown already out and Vidic getting injured in Wednesday’s game against Wolves, Chudi Onwuazor’s article on how United’s defensive problem could derail their title ambitions seemed even more poignant - United’s title ambitions have no defence

We then had a look United’s young players as we pondered if a January loan would help with Danny Welbeck and Kiko Macheda’s development – Would Man United starlets benefit from a January loan?

We were also introduced to Jonny Evans younger brother Corry – A Star in the Making’ – Man United’s Corry Evans

With all the youngsters being put in the spotlight it was only right that we paid homage to those that helped develop them – The ‘unsung heroes’ behind Manchester United’s prolific Academy

After his outburst in November, Tomasz Kuszczak has been rectifying his mistake with some solid performances but he has only given Fergie further problems – Has Tomasz given Fergie something of a transfer dilemma?
