Arsenal are rumoured to have joined the list of clubs interested in signing out-of-favour Tottenham Hotspur striker in the January transfer window.

The 27-year-old international is all but certain to head out of in the new year, with Roma having previously been thought to be favourites for his signature.

However, agent Oleg Artemov told tuttomercatoweb:"We are not happy about his situation at Tottenham, so we'll do everything to ensure that he can change club in January.

"There were contacts with Roma, but for now only by phone.

"Interested in the player are also Spartak Moscow, Arsenal and – anything can happen."

Meanwhile, the agent of Gunners forward Tomas is preparing to fly to England to continue talks over a new contract, despite his client having suffered yet another injury setback.

Pavel Paska told deniksport.cz:"The latest injury cannot affect the negotiations on his current contract extension – the contract is already on the table.

"At the end of this week I am going to London and we will be discussing the details. I am sure that we will reach an agreement as both sides are interested in doing that."
