Burnley manager Owen Coyle has declared his interest in signing Arsenal starlet Jack Wilshere on loan.

The 17-year-old midfielder is one of the hottest properties to emerge from the north London club's youth academy in recent years and Gunners boss Arsene Wenger recently suggested that he would like to send the youngster out on loan.

That has alerted Coyle to the potential availability of the England youth and under-21 international.

"He's a quality player, a young player who I believe will go on to be real star in the future," said Coyle.

"If Arsene says he's available on loan then I think there'd be a host of clubs interested in that type of player.

"We're interested in a lot of players to enhance the squad and, if Jack Wilshere is one of those, who knows?"
