Internacional x SportIt appears that ’s claim that it is to be a quiet January for Tottenham is set to ring true, as the North Londoners have been frustrated by high wage demands, teams failing to meet their asking prices, while a certain Brazilian club have moved the goalposts over the sale of . Unfortunately that is the nature of having a ridiculous transfer window, which breeds nothing but greed as clubs look to utilise other’s desperation.

To be honest it isn’t just at Tottenham and it has been a quiet time for all Premier League clubs and most of Europe in general and the authorities have to really question the whole significance of a transfer window with no real business taking place. It has always been a racket, however at this time the clubs are no longer buying into it.

The failure to capture appears to be the most frustrating aspect for Tottenham as a culmination of events appears to have scuppered a deal. I’m sure when Tottenham undertook this agreement with that it would pave the way for potential transactions, notably , to run smoothly; however judging by Carvalho’s comments last week Spurs have failed to iron issues with this link up hence why the Brazilians are playing hard ball over the players release. My own view is that I fail to see how a man as scrupulous as Daniel Levy would leave any t’s uncrossed in such an agreement, therefore I wonder given the form of as to whether one of the European big boys has perhaps promised to pay up big money in the summer.

It just seems strange to me that a deal that was close to completion in the summer would still be dragging as we reach the last week of the window. Harry said in December that central midfield is an area that needs addressing as he only had three at his disposal (especially when one is Jenas). I’m sure he probably thought he had this one in the bag and like most fans is bemused that it didn’t go through; however the decision needs to be made as to whether Redknapp makes do with the three and looks to retain Jamie O’Hara, or does he go out this week and attempt to bring someone in with a last minute deal. It is a real dilemma for Harry to face, especially as there is a Champions League place in the offing. Man United were screwed over in the summer when they made a move for Costa by Gremio and it appears that Tottenham have now faced a similar outcome with .

Is the centre of midfield strong enough at White Hart Lane, or does Harry need to bring in reinforcement?

Why buy players when we are losing to players costing half has much its time Harry give our young players a chance. This is the only way we can compete with Energy killing our season weve had Hull goalkeeper Liverpool seconds and Leeds 30 seconds comeback that’s all was left All had one thing in common Energey and a will to carry on till the last second Grayson said we have a will to not get beat well said him and the other shock teams have said the same Gary Megson said we have a great conditioner and play with a high Tempo like Liverpool after drawing with us they went crap and he got sacked so LOOK OUT Rafa Grayshon Brown you could be next

Harry will buy because he has just let Dos Santos go out on loan to Galatasaray til the end of the season with an option to buy him for 6 million.

Not giving Dos Santos a chance at Spurs is very very disappointing. Krancjar has been ok but he was poor against Liverpool and Leeds. Ideal time to give Gio a go and he didnt do it

Harry Redknapp is a chancer and is way out of his depth at spurs, another manager could pick the right team to play week in week out and give them the self belief and correct mental attitude we so badly lack. Also, i’m no genius, but, if Bale is not great at defending, but, great going forward, would it take a genius to play him as our left winger. Believe me arry will leave us as yet another manager to achieve nothing. I wish i was wrong, but i’ve seen this film before, many times.

I hope Defoe is no longer our penalty taker after missing his last 4 in a row. If keane or Pav are not playing, then modric or crouch should be giving the spot kick next time.

The players that don’t play are those bought in the Jol and Ramos under the horrid stay of Daniel Comolli. Inter are playing hardball with Spurs because they realise they can get double for Sandro from another team. It is highly improbable that this deal with Inter – the joint deal that was announced months back – wasn’t completed as they are now saying.
