Fulham‘s Bobby Zamora is facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines after it was confirmed that the striker has dislocated his collarbone.
The in-form striker was forced off in the early stages of the second half of Tuesday’s 3-2 Premier League defeat at Stoke City.
Cottagers boss Roy Hodgson admitted he feared the worst when asked about the injury to his 11-goal leading scorer at full-time.
And now the Craven Cottage club have confirmed the 28-year-old frontman is facing a lengthy period on the sidelines with a dislocation.
“The club’s medical department has confirmed that Bobby Zamora suffered a dislocated collarbone during Tuesday night’s game against Stoke,” read a club statement.
“He is being closely monitored and further updates regarding his progress will follow.”
Meanwhile, Hodgson continues to sweat on the extent of a recurrence of a knee injury suffered by key defender Brede Hangeland during the same game.
