maxirodriguezLiverpool new boy Maxi Rodriguez has revealed he has joined the club for one reason and that is to help bring silverware to Anfield.

The Argentine midfielder who signed for the Reds a fortnight ago has no fear that his move from Atletico Madrid will prove a success and despite an indifferent first half to their season, Maxi believes that it is possible to salvage some silverware this year by winning the Europa League, as well as ensuring a top-four finish.

Maxi believes that it could be the foundation for a title win in the coming years; a feat which the 29-year-old believes they are certainly capable of.

Maxi said: “There is no doubt in my mind that Liverpool can definitely win a league title.

“It’s a group mentality issue really, a mental thing as a team.

“It has been a fairly bad first half of the season but now the top-four finish is a perfectly realistic target for this season.

“Liverpool is a club that can aspire to win trophies and success – and that still applies to this season.” Daily Star
