QuashieWest Ham United midfielder Nigel Quashie has been linked with a return to Queens Park Rangers, the club where the Scottish international started his football career. Quashie has spent the last two months on loan at League One outfit MK Dons, but Skysports.com understands that QPR manager Paul Hart is considering bringing Quashie back to Loftus Road. A possible move across London for Quashie would appeal to the 31 year old whose chances of first team football at West Ham under Gianfranco Zola are slim.

Nigel Quashie has failed to make a big impression at Upton Park since he was signed for the Hammers by then manager Alan Curbishley for £1.75 million in 2007. Injuries have contributed to Quashie only making seven Premier League appearances for West Ham in over two years there, and he was sent on loan to Birmingham, Wolves and most recently MK Dons. His time in League One has been a success as Quashie has scored twice in seven league appearance and Dons’ manager Paul Ince is thought to want to renew the deal, but QPR are looking to step in.

As the experienced midfielder is unlikely to feature in Zola’s long-term plans, then Quashie’s future may lie away from West Ham. A return to QPR is likely to be an attractive prospect for Quashie, as the combative midfielder enjoyed a successful start to his career at Loftus road, playing for the West London club for three years from 1995-1998. QPR manager Paul Hart is looking to strengthen his squad as they aim to achieve a playoff berth in the Championship come the end of the season, and a loan deal until the end of the season for Quashie is on the horizon.
