Wenger pleased with draw

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger claimed Saturday's 2-2 draw with Everton was a point gained for the Gunners.

Tomas Rosicky's stoppage-time strike rescued a point for the north London club, who had trailed twice on the day to the spirited visitors.

Leon Osman had headed the visitors into an early lead before Denilson restored parity only for Steven Pienaar to again fire the Toffees ahead in the 81st minute.

But despite missing the opportunity to significantly close the gap to leaders Chelsea, Wenger admitted he was content with the point when speaking at full-time.

"We played against a very good Everton team who for most of the game was more dangerous and sharper than us," conceded the Frenchman.

"At the end of the day we dropped two points, but looking at the game we gained one point because we were closer to losing the game than to winning it.

"We got the point because we had the spirit and the desire, but we didn't find our game today.

"We had problems technically and because Everton stopped us from playing and in midfield they were dominant."

Meanwhile, Wenger is unsure of the extent of an injury to Denilson which led to the Brazilian midfielder being stretchered off in the 84th minute.

"It is a little bit mysterious at the moment," he added."I've just seen him in the dressing room and he can walk quite normally.

"We have to see if it is a broken rib, if it is a deeper problem with his lungs."
