Carlo Ancelotti has dismissed suggestions that the lurid allegations threatening to engulf John Terry will lead to a loss of focus at Chelsea during the title run-in.

The Blues were held to a 1-1 draw at relegation-threatened Hull City on Tuesday night as they failed to make the most of the game in hand over main title rivals Manchester United.

Terry was again the centre of attention after the Blues and England skipper was revealed as the player who had had an affair with a team-mate's ex-partner during a series of salacious weekend newspaper reports.

Ancelotti confirmed after the match that Terry will be given time off should he require it.

However, the Italian does not accept that Terry's personal problems will lead to a loss of focus at Stamford Bridge.

"Nothing can disturb our concentration in this competition," said Ancelotti after seeing his side move two points clear of United at the top of the table.

"I think that Chelsea are focused for every game.

"Sometimes we play good football and sometimes we have more difficulty but the concentration is always on top. The atmosphere in the team is the same. No change."

Speaking about taking the pressure off Terry by allowing his skipper to miss the FA Cup with Cardiff on February 13, he added:"If he needs a holiday I will give him a holiday. If he doesn't need a holiday then he will play against Cardiff. You will see the line-up then.

"It is an issue for me and John Terry, it is not your problem, I think.

"For him nothing has changed. He has played a very good game and every game he is leading very well. He is doing his best every game."
