Hull City manager Phil Brown slammed his side's defending after they fell to a disappointing 3-0 defeat at fellow Premier League strugglers West Ham United.

The Tigers boss was highly critical of the team after Valon Behrami, Carlton Cole and Julien Faubert capitalised to hand Gianfranco Zola's men a much-needed win to keep the KC Stadium-outfit just one point outside the relegation places.

"It wasn't a case of not being committed, it was just the case of the thought process of a lot of the decisions that were going on out there," he said.

"It looked like a lot of the players were playing with a lot of pressure on their shoulders and it certainly wasn't the pressure that we had heaped on them.

"It was the pressure that they put on themselves with the start that we had.

"It's compounded with a ridiculous sending-off and inexcusable behaviour at times."
