Midfielder Jimmy Bullard is being pencilled in for a return to the Hull City first team in the trip to Everton a week on Sunday.
The 31-year-old has not played since damaging medial knee ligaments in a 3-0 defeat at Aston Villa in early December, but is set for a reserve team outing against Wigan Athletic this week.
Boss Phil Brown told the Hull Daily Mail:"Jimmy has been pencilled in to play and hopefully he will play a decent chunk of the game.
"The weather is unpredictable at the minute so there is a slight doubt about the game going ahead.
"But we've got the Galway game on Friday and there's also the chance to play a behind-closed-doors game next week.
"That should give Jimmy time to get some minutes under his belt before the Everton game."
