Senegal international El Hadji Diouf hopes Morten Gamst Pedersen will end speculation about his future by pledging his future to Blackburn Rovers.

The Norway international's current Ewood Park contract expires at the end of this season and he has been linked with a host of clubs.

Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is keen to keep Pedersen as is Diouf, who told the Lancashire Evening Telegraph:"He's a good player and he's a good lad.

"He's done really well at the club for a long time and now everyone really wants to see him stay."

Twenty-eight-year-old Pedersen has scored 38 goals in 228 appearances for Rovers since joining the club in the summer of 2004.
