Manager Roberto Martinez has pledged his future to Wigan Athletic amid speculation linking him with a return to Spain with Espanyol.
The Spanish coach is reported to be wanted by the Barcelona-based club should they fire under pressure current incumbent Mauricio Pochettino.
However, Catalonia-born Martinez insists he is totally focused on life at the DW Stadium.
"We need to take any rumours as a compliment to Wigan," he told the Daily Star.
"But we will not let them distract us from what we are trying to do.
"The next 12 weeks are the most important 12 weeks for Wigan, as regards to building a platform to allow us to move to the next level.
"My focus is totally on the next 12 weeks."
Martinez took over at Wigan last summer after making a successful start to life as a manager at Championship outfit Swansea City.
They are currently 14th in the Premier League table after a mixed first seven months at the helm.
