Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish has urged recent signing Michel to be patient for his chance to impress with the Blues.
The 24-year-old Spaniard has made just four appearances as a substitute since his arrival from Sporting Gijon, but McLeish is content that the schemer will eventually prove to be a success at St Andrew's.
He told the Birmingham Mail:"He is a victim of circumstance. He has just got to be patient.
"I have got to show faith to the guys who have done so well for the entire season. He understands that.
"Once these guys get us to a position where I feel we can look to try and achieve more, then we can get Michel some games.
"Sometimes players can feel a little bit out of it. That's what we've got to make sure doesn't happen.
"He was the captain of Sporting, used to playing every week. This will be a new thing, something he's got to deal with."
