Why Ronaldo will be bigger and better than ever at Real!
Florentino Perez. The Spanish version of marmite. Some loathe him, others love him, but if you are a Real Madrid fan, you are probably one of the latter. He is of course the founder of the Galactico era and has recently begun work on part duex. The summer transfers came thick and fats and included the best footballer in the World (according to FIFA).
Ronaldo fits the mould better than any previous Galactico. Forget Zidane, forget Figo and forget Beckham. Ronaldo is a true Perez Galactico. Flashy, arrogant, stylish and media friendly, the Portuguese grease-ball is finally in a place he can call home.
Old Trafford was a starting block but not a place in which he could call the shots. At Real he is king and there is nothing the other players or even the manager can do about it. Shirt sales are through the roof, the fans love him and his performances have been nothing but special. In terms of football, he is already looking to be worth the £80million or so the club paid for him. 21 games, 22 goals and 4 assists. Nobody at the Bernabeu can complain with those stats.
While the less wary of fans revel in the fact that they have caught Barcelona at the top of La Liga, the cynics in Madrid will be worried about the power their most expensive asset is given at the club. It has never been a secret that to be a manger at Real Madrid means that you must live life, quite literally, on the edge of your seat. Even Fabio Capello realised that a La Liga title was not enough to keep the board happy. While Capello may have had to compete with the likes of Raul in the ‘whose word goes’ stakes, Pellegrini has to face Ronaldo.
Is it more of a worry to rival teams or Real that Ronaldo is now in an environment that allows his arrogant nature? Could this be something that makes him play even better or will it have a negative effect on the team when things aren’t going right? These are the questions that a lot of Los Blanco’s fans should be asking themselves.
He is unquestionably one of the top 3 players in the World and, at just 25, he will get better. The Champions League exit this week proved that there is still work to be done. Galacticos may be stars in their own right, but to make a team you need cohesion. So while bitter rivals Barca dazzled their way past Stuttgart, the Madridista’s will have been watching on in the hope that they can throw a spanner into their La Liga aspirations.
With Ronaldo they have a very real chance, if they don’t let it get to his head.

Ronadlo might be given the freedom there but you have to wonder if he is playing with better players or not? United are probably better without him, Valencia is proving himself as good as Ron and Rooney is looking awesome. Dont think they miss him either!
