Spurs could have to face Fulham in the FA Cup quarter-final on Saturday without the services of top scorer Jermain Defoe.

The striker damaged his hamstring playing for England on Wednesday night and Spurs are unlikely to risk the 27-year-old unless they are certain that further damage won't be inflicted.

"Jermain said he felt the hamstring on Wednesday night at Wembley and didn't feel too good after that game. He's had treatment and we'll have to see how he is," Spurs boss Harry Redknapp revealed.

Peter Crouch is likely to be given a start if Defoe doesn't return after impressing for England midweek, while in midfield Jake Livermore and Andros Townsend have been recalled from loan and will travel to Fulham.
