Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has ruled out the possibility of Robbie Keane moving to Celtic on a permanent basis.

The much-travelled Republic of Ireland international is currently on loan at Celtic Park, scoring eight goals in eight matches for Tony Mowbray's side, including a hat-trick in the Scottish Cup quarter-final win at Kilmarnock.

Redknapp has ended speculation suggesting the switch could be made permanent in the summer by telling the Scottish Sun:"I don't see us loaning Robbie out again.

"We paid a lot of money for him. So it's not something I see happening. It would obviously be up to the chairman but I couldn't see it being a possibility.

"I certainly wouldn't want it to be happening. Robbie's only on loan until the end of this season as far as we're concerned. We want him back so in my mind there's no way of another loan deal."

Redknapp brought Keane back to White Hart Lane 14 months ago following a disappointing spell at Liverpool but has struggled to recapture his best form during his second spell in north London.
