Toffees linked with Ramis bid

Everton have been linked with an interest in Real Mallorca defender Ivan Ramis, who came close to joining Celtic in the January transfer window.

The 25-year-old is under contract with Mallorca until the end of next season, but a number of clubs are keep to test the Islanders' resolve to keep hold of Ramis in the summer.

Club president Mateo Alemany commented:"It is normal to sell players in our situation, but we will not just sell to any club.

"If an interesting proposal arrives we will study it and decide what to do next."

Ramis' agent, Javier Diaz, added: "There are some foreign clubs expressing an interest and I will meet with Mallorca at the end of the season to discuss the situation."

Meanwhile, the Toffees are also thought to be one of the clubs showing an interest in Galatasaray duo Arda Turan and Kader Keita.

Gala president Adnan Polat told Milliyet: "We have been offered 14million euros for both players, but we do not intend to sell them."
