Caption Competition: Three doesn’t go into one…

The question that has been on the minds of all England supporters this week, should we stick with Rob Green? The West Ham goalkeeper will have had plenty of sleepless nights since his infamous error against USA in the World Cup last weekend and every football pundit and journalist has had their two pennies worth. Manchester City’s Joe Hart, who had a fantastic season in the Premier League at Birmingham, and recently relegated Portsmouth’s David James are waiting in the wings for the call from Fabio Capello. Capello once again is keeping his cards close to his chest and we’ll just have to wait to find out who’ll be selected in between the sticks for England’s must-win game against Algeria this evening. All three ‘keepers are obviously desperate to start, but will it be Green, Hart or James that gets the gloves? It seems they’re all striving for it!

Win a copy of Africa United, Steve Bloomfield’s enlightening portrait of the divided continent of Africa, told through one of the few things that unites it – football.

Today, no Premiership team is complete without a major African star – Drogba, Essien, Touré, Adebayor, and Kanu. Countless African players are now enriching English football and becoming household names.

For the first time, the World Cup is being hosted in Africa, and this wide-ranging and incisive book investigates Africa’s love of football, its increasing global influence and the build-up to the 2010 World Cup – the greatest show on earth.
