Burnley goalkeeper Brian Jensen has committed his future to the club until 2012 after agreeing a new two-year contract.

The 35-year-old Dane has signalled his intention to see out the remainder of his career with the Clarets despite their relegation from the Premier League last season.

Jensen, who arrived at Turf Moor from West Brom in 2003, featured in every league game during the club's debut season in the Premier League.

"We are delighted Brian has agreed to sign the two-year deal we offered," manager Brian Laws told the club's official website.

"He is a quality goalkeeper and someone who has served this club very well with distinction.

"He is not only a great servant, but a great ambassador and even at his age, we feel Brian has good years ahead of him.

"We hope to drive him on further this summer because clearly we would like to strengthen in that area that area.

"It's something we are trying our hardest to achieve so that Brian has real strong competition, which can only improve his performances for the football club."
