I did the roly polly five gun salute, when we got 21 million for him, couldn't believe our luck, then we give it back to them!, madness, sheer unadulterated madness!, now he's worth what exactly?

He does appear to be living on borrowed time in his second "coming" with Spurs to the point where Harry has already let it be known that if Keane isn't happy he'll be off on his travels again (and he hasn't even been dropped yet!). This time HAS to be the last and he should be sold. Who knows maybe some US East Coast team will pick him up to gel with the Irish ex-pats there. That would suit him but is it too early for him? His problem is his next move is a downward one whichever way you look at it.

Sell him before it's too late. Same goes for the beanpole. But Harry loves'em both, so we'll suffer through the season with one striker who is mobile (Keane) but fumbles most of his chances and one who is not (Crouch) who "holds up the ball" but gives it aeay.

Fair comment. I'm not sure why we brought Keane back in the first place. Maybe there was a sense of desperation about the move as we were still struggling near the bottom of the league at the time (Harry came in with only 2 points on the board after 8 games - apparently). But it was always likely to end in failure.

I think Keane has always looked a second class Premier League citizen - with the exception of the time he spent alongside Berbatov. And while I realise football is just football and shouldn't be taken too seriously, I don't think Spurs fans owe Keane any loyalty or sympathy. He is the quintessential architect of his own downfall.
