Bostocks comments make me laugh, he is moaning about foreigners, but in his position at spurs. which is midfield there is no chance he would get past O'Hara, Tommy Thudd, Bentley, Lennon even Jenas!!! all English players so i cant see what the arrogant little sh*ts problem is. How about instead of moaning you get your head down and work harder!!!!!

John Bostock has a bad attitude and causes friction in squads with his hubris. He was badly advised by his step-dad to take a quick payout instead of a long career. It's your own fault JB, enjoy that dwindling bucket of cash whilst you still can!

He should have stayed at Palace - the team he 'supports' - and gained invaluable 1st team action. Now he's saying the "dream" os to play for Spurs, it was only 2 years ago his "dream" was to be Palace's youngest captain! How 2 years of short-term income and stupid haircuts changes a young man's mind! Shame he doesn't have the bottle to graft to learn his trade. See you working in B&Q in 5 years John!

"The Bundesliga has allowed youngsters such as Mesut Ozil to flourish on the big stage for Germany with regular first-team football for Werder Bremen at the age of 21 whereas Bostock feels he might have to wait another three years before getting his chance."

Wait another three more years? You mean when he turns 21... like Ozil?!?

I gotta say i agree with the above comments. . .BUT
You gotta understand and appreciate how frustrating it must be for our youth players. Theyre told to graft and train hard but when a position is 'open' the first thing coaches and fans scream is "sign some1!!"
And how many useless foreign players have been drafted in to the prem taking up space?
The English prem is 'Big Business' and I truly believe it has a negative effect on our youth players.

How can Bostock moan about not playing first team football? If he had not gone for the bigger money he would have been playing first team football week in week out for Palace and devolping along side the likes of Victor Moses and Nathanial Clyne (both tipped to be the next England Stars). Bostock ruined his career by moving to Spuds and I have no sympathy for him.

I cant uderstand why we are trumpeting the Germans . They never intended to play there youngsters it was a combination of injury's and players being to old . This forced Germany into drafting them in early . We got beat 4-0 by there under 21 but we suffered from Huddlestone missing and Joe Heart they would not have won our under 21 with Swiensteiger and Neuer missing . England have this mentality they have to pick one player from the top teams man utd Liverpool and Chelsea. We had the most English players of all the clubs yet we had one player against the Germans and we had Upson Terry Cole Johnson played like strangers Terry was never going to see Gerrard lift the Cuo. We let wallcott Hudds Dawson Lennon Rodwell all at home or on the bench . Peter Taylor would pick four or five from the same team our under 19 had two players from Spurs yet Mason Townsend Parret Bostock Caulker could have played. Spain had five from Barca and 3 from Madrid in there Team and they played like a team . Our youngsters where playing in America to fill in for our World cup players. Bostock should have stayed on our bench when he starred in his cameo role.

FURTHER (sorry, I know, my own voice) there is no link between having a weak league and being successful. Look at Spain. It's in the youth coaching. The Spanish kids are largely better than anything that can be brought in, due to the coaching.

AND you can't sacrifice the level of the Premier League, you'd never be successful in Europe. I'm sick of this nationalistic prioritisation over club teams, who keep the game going.
