Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish is still hoping to make another two or three signings this summer, but admits that finding the right player at the right price is a tough task.

McLeish has already drafted in goalkeeper Ben Foster and striker Nikola Zigic, but would ideally like to bolster his squad with a couple more new faces.

He told the Birmingham Mail:"We're not done yet, we're still looking to enhance the squad, which is vitally important.

"We want to bring in another couple of bodies to the squad at least. I've gone into training a little bit light as it is. We have a few irons in the fire and we're trying to make some headway.

"The big thing for me and always has been since January, was to try and concentrate on people we knew rather than go down that foreign market route.

"There are undoubtedly good players (abroad), but some can be real unknown quantities and I was hoping I could stick to the players I knew.

"The problem with that is in the Premier League the prices are very high.

"But we will keep persevering until we've gone as far as we think we can go and then if it doesn't happen we'll look to Plan B."
