Fulham have dismissed speculation suggesting that veteran goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer has handed in a transfer request.

The 37-year-old Australia international has been heavily linked with Arsenal in recent times, but the Cottagers insist that Schwarzer is going nowhere.

A club spokeswoman commented:"The club has not received a transfer request from Mark Schwarzer.

"Mark is under contract with us until the summer of 2011 and the manager (Mark Hughes) has underlined his commitment to keep hold of his best players."

Schwarzer joined the Cottagers in the summer of 2008, having spent more than a decade with Middlesbrough.

Last season he was instrumental in helping Fulham reach the Europa League finals, where they lost 2-1 to Atletico Madrid after extra-time.
