Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Mick McCarthy was pleased to see his side recover from a poor first half to secure a 1-1 draw at Everton.
Having fallen behind just before the interval, the visitors at Goodison Park responded well after the restart and eventually equalised 15 minutes from time through Sylvan Ebanks-Blake .
McCarthy told the club's official website:"We were poor in the first half, abject actually, but we held on until the 43rd minute.
"I'll take responsibility for that, because I set the team up and was tinkering with it.
"We were trying to stop them playing in a certain way and the reality is that we weren't up the pitch and getting in their faces and actually stopping them playing.
"I tried to change a few things around and it didn't work, but we addressed it in the second half.
"I didn't make any subs at half time – I told the players I thought they were the best outfield ten to play before the game and wanted them to show me that was the case.
"We got up the pitch, stopped them playing and I thought fully deserved the point we got in the end."
