Bolton Wanderers manager Owen Coyle is still to decide whether to allow teenage striker Danny Ward to leave the club on loan this season.

The 19-year-old, who has been linked with a host of Championship and League One clubs, scored nine goals in 32 appearances for Swindon Town during a season-long loan spell at the County Ground last term.

Coyle said:"I've had half the Championship on about him already this summer and that's if, and that's a big if, I decide to send him out again.

"I'm going to sit down with him and have a chat in the next couple of weeks but, whatever we decide, I'm sure he's going to have a bright future at Bolton Wanderers.

"I've had Danny with me all pre-season and he's done very well, there's no doubt he'll have a bright future at this football club.

"I have to judge now whether he's ready to be involved on a week-to-week basis in the squad. If he's not, then we'd send him out for a few months so that he's in a better position to challenge when he comes back.

"That's not inevitable. I really like him and I see something in him."
