Robinho has declared himself happy in Italy ahead of his expected move from Manchester City to AC Milan.

City's £32.5million club record signing had been expected to be on his way out of Eastlands following two disappointing seasons in the Premier League.

The 26-year-old Brazilian was allowed to return home to join Santos during the second half of the last campaign after struggling with injury and a loss of form.

City boss Roberto Mancini suggested the door remained open for the former Real Madrid star, but Robinho is now on the verge of joining the Serie A side.

"I'm really happy to be here," he said after touching down in Milan ahead of a Tuesday afternoon medical."I hope to have success at Milan.

"Milan are an important side and I hope I will be able to show my worth on the pitch."

Interesting to see when, where and if he plays often. Still he’s used to warming his arse on the bench. He’s joined the other Brazilian has-been Ronaldinho in earning big bucks for playing in a minor league.
