Manchester City outcast Robinho has rejected an offer from Turkish club Fenerbahce and is hoping to secure a move to either Italy or Spain.

The 26-year-old Brazil international forward has spent the last few months on loan back in his homeland with Santos, but now wants to find himself a new club in Europe.

He told Globo Esporte:"With all due respect to Turkish football, I'm not going to play there at the moment.

"Fenerbahce were the only team who sent an official transfer proposal, but it's already decided that I'm not going.

"I've got talks going on but I can't reveal anything yet. A week is time to do a lot of things. The only thing I'll say is that I'll carry on in Europe, in Italy or Spain."

Robinho joined the Citizens for a club record £32.5million from Real Madrid in September 2008, but after a bright start in England he faded away and eventually headed back to South America.

In total he scored 16 goals in 53 appearances for the Citizens.
