Fulham midfielder Simon Davies has signed a contract extension to keep him at Craven Cottage until the summer of 2013.

The 30-year-old, who recently retired from international duty with Wales, has been with the Cottagers since January 2007, making 129 appearances in all competitions.

He had previously enjoyed spells with Peterborough United, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton.

Davies told his club's official website:"It's great now that it's finally done. We've been talking for a few months.

"I've loved my time here and it's been great the last few years. I'm just excited for the future and hopefully I'll finish my career here."

Davies, who helped Fulham reach the Europa League final last season, won 58 caps for his country before calling time earlier this month.
